They are great at explaining the cost and benefit versus burden of different repair options. Highly recommend! If there is some service they don?t offer, like windshield replacement, they offer a recommendation based on their experience. They give a realistic estimate, and more often than not, the final bill is less than the estimate. Good folks to work with. They quickly diagnosed a sporadic ignition switch problem, and had it fixed in a couple of hours. Never have I had a bad experience with Garage 47.

I recently had one of the flex brake lines break on my truck. I called Garage 47 and they said they could look at it right away so I had AAA tow it directly there. A little over 24 houirs later that problem was fixed as well as a few other things that I had them address while it was there (coolant change, power steering fluid change, new negative battery terminal and battery). Brett was excellent and explaining what needed to be dealt with right away and which items could be done at a later date. I'm back up and running and am so pleased with the service I get from everyone at G47!

Garage 47 has been by far and away the best of all auto repair shops I have ever been to!! I have a 2018 Camaro and blew the entire motor and clutch in one very unfortuante evening. I called around all of Sacramento and the surrounding area and not only found Garage 47's prices to be the best, but when the job was done they were very upfront and honest and adjusted the final price for me after they didn't use some parts they had initially thought the car might need. They managed to get my enitre car fixed and running in under a week and the car runs like it is brand new. Guy was extremely understanding of my situation as college student and did everything he cold to help me out and Brandon put the car back together just as good as Chevrolet would have from the factory! They did the job right when another shop did it the cheap way by putting in made in Mexico part instead of a genuine Ford part. It wasn?t an easy fix or cheap. As a woman I have been to a lot of mechanics who don't treat me properly. At garage 47 I received some of the best treatment I've ever had. Mechanics are intelligent and polite, they treated me with the upmost respect, they were incredibly informative. Their diagnostic charges were fair, they even lowered them one time because it took less labor instead of charging me the two hours I originally signed up for. Had they not told me that I would've paid them for the two hours without question. There are no high-pressure sales tactics here. If you come for a diagnostic, but can't afford the work quite yet, do not expect them to be rude, or roll their eyes, or try to pressure you to get to work done anyways. They also have insanely good communication. Text and are extremely communicative. 10 out of 10 would recommend to all my friends and strangers as well.

Before purchasing a used car, I took it to Garage 47 to be inspected. And I'm glad I did. Garage 47 has a certified "inspection" mechanic (I'm not sure how they are certified). They did a thorough job and fast job. And, they have a neat set-up (large monitor/tv) to show you the results. The car's Carfax was clean other than a minor accident. The car mechanically was very clean on the outside and ran great. The mechanic used a camera to inspect hard to reach and see areas. He found wood debris that strongly indicated the car had been in under water. Also, they found paint over spray that was far from where the minor accident occurred. Lesson is a Carfax only shows reported accidents and repairs. It is well worth having a professional shop, like Garage 47, inspect a used car before you purchase it.

I took my 2003 Jeep wrangler sport here after it sat a month at Firestone in Antelope. Firestone stated that fixed the vacuum leak and I had a short in my wiring harness. Not even close. My Mazdaspeed 3 was throwing some codes and driving very different than how it normally did. My normal mechanic told me that only the dealership could deal with those codes. Maita Mazda said they had zero clue what I was talking about and that it drove fine. Garage 47 came highly recommended. Steve got on the phone with me and talked about the codes, what they were and how he was able to address them. They are courteous. They take time to explain the issue. They give OPTIONS for the service, which I greatly appreciate. The waiting office is clean and is air conditioned/heated. This time I was there only for a low tire pressure. They took my car in right away, saw it had a screw in the tire, did the repair, checked the rest of the tires, and were done in less than 15 minutes. The computer system they use pulls up your cars' history and makes billing quick. I like that they use text and email (with pictures!) to communicate while my car is in for work. If you're lucky enough to have a conversation with the owner, you'll feel right at home. And the new mechanics he's bringing on must be coached in good customer service-they are also doing a great job. Whenever someone on Nextdoor is looking for a mechanic, I get Garage 47's name in there as fast as I can. I highly recommend this shop!

It ran so much better afterwards; literally I could feel it running much more smoothly and driving much more responsively on the way home! I suspected the air & cabin filters would need replacing, too. Sure enough, they checked and found them clogged up. They sent me pictures online with an estimate of the additional charges. I contacted Garage 47 after searching Google for a place to have a pre purchase inspection done on a used auto I was considering. I'm so glad that they did the inspection. They were extremely professional and documented all the issues and took photos of their findings! I'm truly grateful they protected my best interests and made sure I was aware of all the shoddy repair work that had been done and explained to me all the issues. I felt so comfortable with the service and care that the following day before heading back to Reno NV I had them rotate and balance my tires. These guys are PROS you won't be disappointed!

Very good and friendly service. I do a lot of my own work on my cars but when I need a place to go because of time constraints or because I need help this is the place that is my go to. It makes it nice to have a shop that is in the neighborhood. It is also nice to go to a place that you can talk shop with the owner and feel like you are a part of the family. It is also convenient that when your service is done you get your receipts and pictures of the work done or what your parts look like that need service e-mailed directly to you.

My first time here for oil change plus all tires rotate at very reasonable price in 45 minutes. All of employees has smile plus very friendly. Garage 47 is paperless through email to customers. They also have free photos of brakes rotor and discs. The bottom line: I will come back to Garage 47 again.
